"When Dr. Shealy performed LASIK on both of my eyes in 2000, I was somewhat happy with my vision. Since he was able to correct my prescription of 8 diopters of myopia with astigmatism. Both eyes needed repeated surgery with the Nidek laser several months later, but I was still not happy with my distant vision, glare, and halos, especially at night. In September 2004, Dr. Shealy retreated both eyes with the Allegretto Wave laser which improved my distant vision and removed my glare and halos. My vision was better in quality and  I wished that I'd had the Allegretto Wave laser treatment first in the year 2000. My vision is 20/15 or better in my right eye after 3 surgeries. I'm awaiting to have surface ablation on my left eye because my cornea is too thin to have the flap lifted."
